Here i will post the build story of the mp3/Fuoco 500 with 1000cc

Going to buy a Secondhand Gilera GP800 use the back-end of it
Refurbishing the engine and fit 2 492cc Cylinders and pistons

Ordered the Following parts

A new Frame (i can cut, i need the neck to fit to the GP800 frame)
front swingarms
Wheel hubs
front Legs from the Fuoco RL
13" front Wheels (Will fit 120/70/13 tyres or if i can find them 100 110/90/13)
2 New nising 4 piston front caliper (CBR600rr)
NG Wave brakedisk
bearings

Other stuff i've got plenty in stock

Going to be a bad ass ride! Piaggio needs to produce a 650 or 750cc twin parallel. Even a 500 isn't really enough to push this much weight around.

Great stuff, although the mash up I'd really like to see is a Fuoco front end on the engine and rear end of a Yamaha t-max

That lovely inboard twin with great sound coupled with the two wheel front end.

So you want the same size motor that is already on the MP3 as apposed to an 800cc that has been bumped up to a 1000cc? I don't understand that.

no a GP800 is a 830cc 2 cylinder that i will bumb to 986cc

We all ready done that there are 4 build now

He's replying to desq who said he wanted the back on of a t-max, which is only 500 ccs.

the T-max 530 is a 2 cylinder with enough power but maybe there will fit other cylinder to it also never looked in to it

I wouldn't mind doing the 492 conversion to my Mana.

Can you give details of what is involved as you go along?

What do the cylinders come off?

What work needs to be done to the heads?

What injector body are they using - the same?

this size motor is something the MP3 really needed to begin with. Should be an interesting build. Post pictures and keep it up to date.

the are of the mp3 but need some adjustments

Left one stock 492cc middle adjusted 492cc right oem 430cc

Have you compared the weight of the two different piston, ring, gudgeon pin assemblies?

nope not the weight

the 430cc cylinder is a lot heavier then the 492

Finaly bought a wrecked gp800 in french

Now waiting on the shipping company to bring it over

allready have a parted out 125 hybride for the front-end

Used my newly bought Fuoco frame for my Fuoco 500 HPE project that will be a brandnew Gilera Fuoco with 44bhp and maybe a reverse

finaly it got delivered

Front brakes i'm thinking about 260mm size rotors with 14" 3.5" wheels


the Front wheels will be made out of rear rims narrowed down to 3.5" wide

How will you narrow down the rims?

found a company that will do that for me they will take out 1" in the center and weld it together again

Super impressive commitment.

The MP3 500 definitely could use a boost in very low end torque to get off the line a bit faster. I nearly wish it had a manual mode, but everything comes at a price and is a balancing act.

One of the clear balancing acts in the MP3 500 design is in user-friendliness. I wish it was a tad more aggressive and a 300 or so was the vehicle for ultimate approachability and the 500 was a bit edgier.

I am amazed at the commitment to such an ambitious project! I wish there was something as crazy as a turbo or supercharger kit, but of course that'd come at the prize of frying your clutch every 2k miles or something

as posted earlier a turbo or supercharger will blow the head it will do this also with out a supercharger just a powercommander or rapif bike tuned to 48 HP

Not easy, bud it is possible.

i m going to export it and get a tuf in germany l5e lots cheaper en easier then in the Netherlands

You could try Maksor, but they can be pretty picky over here when it comes to TÜV. Make double sure that everything is in tip top working order before you try to get it done over here .
