Hi guys just wondering if anyone can help I have a vesapa et4 125cc 05 plate it seems to have a problem starting it was fine in the morning going to work then when I left work to go home it just wouldn't turn over not sure what the problem could be I was using the spare brown key could that be the reason why and respond would be helpful thanks.
Aloha and welcome to the forum from Hawaii. How old is the battery? That's something to look at. Also you should should replace the fuel and vacuum lines. Mine last 4yrs max. Your way past that. Do the lines first and see if that helps. Good luck. BTW do you have any pics of your ET?
Maybe battery problem, but does the starter motor rotate? If it doesn't, check the fuse. If it rotates, but the engine doesn't turn over, check the fuel (and vacuum) hose first. When did you clean the air filter and the carb? How old is the spark plug?
Unlikely the problem is the brown key, but if that is now the only key you have - I strongly suggest you get a blue copy made sooner rather than later.
difficult to say without more info but when you say it won't turn over is there a whirring sound? because sometimes mine does this and i wonder if its the bendix on the starter unable to locate properly, i press the kickstarter just to jog the motor into a different position then try again. hope that helps
