I've ordered a Bitubo front shock for my 2005 ET4. I was wondering if anyone has prior experience in replacing the front shock on this scooter. It appears to be a straight bolt off/bolt on process according to the Haynes manual. I was wondering if removing the fork assembly is necessary to remove/install the top mounting bolt. I'm hoping it is not and that the front fender will not be the way - for a somewhat quick installation.
Thanks for anyones input!

It can be done without removing the fork.

+1 on what Patrick said.
Oh, and the fender always gets in the way.
