Just helped my asshat friend start up his LX150 last night. All I wanted to do was sit around in my underwear (boxer briefs) sweating my ass off, watch tv and drink sake, but noooo he couldn't get the damm thing started.
1. When I got there we checked for a nasty air filter - clean
2. Gas in the engine oil - fine
3. Jump starting the scoot - nope
Dammit I said! So just before we were about to put it in the truck, I decided to check one last thing that I've learned from having vintage scoots...I jiggled the carb, and whadda you know? The carb had popped off of the manifold! I pushed it back on and tightened the strap and the stupid thing fired right up.
Next time you have problems starting up, add this to your checklist of things to look for.
