Is there any difference in quality between the three? My stock plug is the Champion RN2C. I can't find it anywhere locally. I'm considering switching over to either NGK or Denso.

I don't know about quality differences between the three brands BUT I did notice an immediate improvement in starting and idle when I replaced the original Champion with an NGK CR8EIX iridium at 921 miles (GT200). My local NAPA dealer had it here overnight for < $10.

Hi there, I like NGK, due in part, i can find them local.
Which ever plug you do go with, just make sure it's within the heat range spec for your scoot.

Cheers

I would assume that the official alternatives to the Champion RN2C would be within heat range... I at least hope.

NGK CR8EIX Iridium

+1

Did nothing for starting or idle but definitely adds a few mph to the top end and gives the (Scorpion) exhaust some entertaining pops and burbles on trailing throttle.

Thanks guys for sharing the alternative brand & model of spark plugs for our GT200, this really helps as the Champion brand is not available in our area.

I just switched out from the stock Champion in my Stella to the NGK. She's purring like a kitten now and I have a few spares to boot. I had a hard time finding the replacement Champion plug.

I know almost nothing about plugs. Will this work on a GTS?

Stupid question number two.

I know that you are supposed to change the spark plug every 12,000 miles. I'm assuming that I won't find the NGK CR8EIX Iridium at the local store so I'm going to order one online (plus I'm lazy and I like to shop online). So, in order to save on shipping, I thought I would order a couple.

Stupidest question ever:
Do spark plugs 'go bad'? Will a plug that sits in my garage for a year or so in the box wear out?

I'm truly ashamed.

NGK all the way. Plugs don't go bad sitting on the shelf.
