Just kidding - hope all works.
I'm glad I'm not the only negative one who checks the new posts in this thread peeking thru one eye, thinking I'm going to see "Well, that didn't take long, it happened!"
All ye of little faith!!!! I'm not some young whippersnapper who's out on the town all the time leaving my bike unattended everywhere with minimal security!

One more thing I have added are locking wheel nuts especially on the front wheel. Some crooks have been known to bring a spare front wheel with them.
I do like this idea.. Do you know what size they are? I might have access to some old mercedes-benz ones...

A link would be helpful. Then I could add something in the security wiki.

My chain is really heavy too. Once I decided on the D lock/chain combo I decided to forgo the anti pinch pin idea. She's about as secure as I can make her at home and inaccessible at work.

My main problems are when I'm away from either of these locations. Going food shopping I need as much space as possible so it's not going to be feasible to carry everything and most London bays don't have the ground anchor to use the chain when I'm visiting friends.

Has yours arrived yet?!
She's here! Yeah!!! Madly in love already. Have received the chain, the cover and U lock, so far. Waiting on the handgrip lock, helmet lock and disc lock. Think I might order the Pragmasis 11mm, because like you said, the big chain isn't always portable. Could use that while out, although it's not as secure. Figure using every visual security device helps.

Having read this type of thread here for nigh on nine years I have come to the conclusion that so far as security is concerned the best idea is good theft insurance and don't fall in love with the scooter.

Sounds a tad defeatist, I know, but I once suggested that one contacts one's insurance company and ask them what is the best theft deterrence. Got no replies.
