One year ago I helped unbox this scooter at a local Vespa dealer so that I could inspect it, and try it for size.
Scooter is the 2018 Liberty 150i ABS 3V i-Get engine
I'm a touch over 6'3" - so, sitting the scoot was important. No, not possible to test ride anything in my area - ever! Only used bikes.
After looking it over - I left a deposit to purchase.

My homework:
I read the review on justgottascoot.com and watched the 20 min video review by VespaMotorsport's Robot.
http://www.justgottascoot.com/liberty150.htm
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPJPZEaRwxo

I then purchased the official Piaggio service manual download. ($8.00) I wanted to know if it would be easy or difficult to home service.

Next it was just a matter of inspecting it closely for fit & finish - and sitting the seat!

My thoughts after 1 yr and 2,700 miles:

I've little to add to the stuff mentioned in the above reviews, so just a few comments.

The long, comfy seat needs no alterations
The scooter has operated flawlessly in temps ranging from 20 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
EFI gives instant starts & smooth idle.
CVT is smooth.
Big wheels are great over city bumps, and VERY stable at speed.
Headlight is very good. I ride every day in the dark.
Oil and oil filter changes are easy. Valves were easy to check - only a little harder than my LIKE200i.
TOP Speed? No idea....no reason to do it. Rides like a train at 55mph GPS.

I dislike:
the gas cap is a pain to use (it's like the cap & tank are different sizes)
While important spares are readily avail and not expensive - the American dealers mark up things like racks and cases by 100%.
(so shopping in Italy, now)

Wish list:
two rear shocks
rear disc brake

Stuff added:
chrome Piaggio mirrors (replaced the black stock mirrors)
side stand
short Piaggio screen
NGK Iridium spark plug
repainted the black muff. heat shield to gunmetal

Regrets:

I wish I could buy the white one, too!

Glad to answer any questions.

SOLD the scooter on the left (to a buyer 2,700 miles away) to buy the one on the right.

If I was in the market for a 150 the Liberty would be my choice as well.

I strongly considered getting a Liberty 150 soon after getting the 300 as I wanted something lighter for errands and short rides... Then Nightwing made me an offer on his LX150 I couldn't refuse. Great bike the Liberty. Sounds (and looks) like you enjoy it immensely.

Happy anniversary!

Nice review OS. When I was doing my research and taking my daughter around to look at scooters the Liberty caught our eyes and several occasions. Nice to read that it's a winner. Hope you continue to enjoy your Liberty for many years to come.

We just picked up a used Liberty 150S used this week. It's been raining so haven't had a chance to ride it yet, and I've been busy baking bread and cupcake.

Thanks for the review.

Can't help with that - but, although it is supremely stable at its top end thanks to the big wheels - I wouldn't take it onto a limited access highway. We're talking a $3000, aircooled 155cc, 3 valve scoot here.
If you need more speed, a water cooled, 4 valve scoot of the same capacity can probably out run it by 10 MPH easily.
This Piaggio probably can touch 60ish MPH, or better?.
My Liberty is really happy at 45-50 MPH, and so am I.

That was a very nice report. I've wondered about those scoots. You mentioned you had a like 200. Side by side was the Liberty a vast improvement or were they comparable with each having its own benefits?

Liberty has a nice long seat and MUCH better headlight (55W vs 35W), ABS, noticeably more stable at speed due to big wheels, faster.
KYMCO LIKE200i has much more powerful brakes.
Both faultless driveability, both easy to service.
