Yeah, we have a Stella in the garage. I don't wrench on it though. I don't ride it so I don't love it.

I think from there it goes to P for provisional then you get to ride without the stupid letter.

That scoot has to be heavy with all that chrome and glass.

Look at the headlight...it's a 50 special.Which means 30 mph max WITHOUT all that stuff on it..

it's just the 'L' ... once you get your full license you get to burn the stupid red 'L'.

the thing that amazes me the most about that pic is how clean the streets are! if that was taken today there would be plastic bottles and carrier bags and discarded fast-food containers everywhere.

Could you imagine driving behind that scoot when the sun hits the mirrors just right. Like a parabolic mirror focused directly into your retina.

Thanks Genie. I get confused. I just came from Australia where they have to wear the P for a year after wearing the L for a year.

I saw a scooter for sale this weekend and my first thought was, "Mmmm, What Would Lucky Do?"

Yea I have been working on the Rally for the last two weeks... Its been alot of fun...

The Electrical was all messed up but I got it all sorted out with the help of my fieldpiece meter.

So have you found the perfect Vintage scooter yet?

Not yet. Kind of waiting for a nice Allstate to fall into my lap. Or else something I can chop up without too much guilt. Those barn finds and dusty garage treasures are scarce.

Eric posted info on a guy that searches out Barn finds and sells them.
You should find that info and have the guy strart looking for you.

Not if you're a geriatric like me (and you live in South Australia. Some might say that's a tautology). If you've moved beyond your provisional driver's license, you don't have to wear a P plate on your scooter or bike once you've achieved your R date llicense. By May next year I can ride whatever CC motorcycle I like, but till then I'm limited to about 650CC, with some superfast exceptions (power to weight ratio thingies)
