Hi there - am new here, a senior lady who used to drive a big suzuki (a few years back) and now want a scoot... found a Vespa Piaggio LX150 on craigslist sure looks to be in great shape, Mileage is 9129 miles two owners. She says she has all maint records that she just bought it not that long ago but doesnt have a MC license so is selling it for 2200.00. It sure looks like a sweet ride, posting a pic here.

I am wondering and am hoping for some feedback from you Vespa folks is this too old for me to buy? I dont want a scoot that is too old to get parts and might be more expensive due to age. Haven't looked at it yet just need some guidance and help here, any thoughts? I am a bigger lady, do great on a MC so feel a scoot needs to be in my near future but want the right one Would I be better off with a newer scooter? Here she is see photo. Sweet, isnt she?

Is this a good deal? Too old to buy for a rider what wants to keep life simple and not deal with lots of issues due to its age?

Thanks so much for any feedback- she sure looks like a sweet ride. She says negotiable but does not sound like too much... I am thinking $2k? And is it good idea to have someone look at it before purchase like we do cars or no? Lost here -help please

Tx Lady Rider, I just bought a similarly equipped 2007 LX 150 and may be of some help. Please check your private messages and welcome to MV from San Antonio!

I would go for it. The price is reasonable. The miles mean it's been used often. No problem with parts availability. It's carbureted. The kick starter might make it actually a 2008. If you have a local dealer that would be great since the current owner may have left it parked for a while and a carb cleaning might be needed. My 2009 LX has been bulletproof.

Aloha and welcome to the forum from Hawaii. It's not to old. I have a '07 LX 150 and he had 49,700 miles on him. With the proper maintance they'll go forever. My LX looks brand new. People don't believe me when i say it's 11yrs old. I'd buy it. Love my LX. Good luck

Looks good to me. My 2007 still going strong, shouldn't have parts issues for the foreseeable future. Price seems about right too.

Hope it's a go for you!

The kickstarter was deleted in the middle of the 2009 model year. I have an '09 S150 that has the "Warning / Kick start lever..." decal on the lower side piece, but no kick start lever. Doesn't mean that it couldn't be an '08, but isn't proof that it is one.

I might have found her a better deal on another scoot. Stay tuned for potential details.
