Stupid question but I'm new to this. I have a 1974 Rally 200 frame for restoration and am having difficulty finding a motor. Any suggestions on alternate engines or where I could purchase one would be greatly appreciated.

Many a Rally 200's have been swapped over to a P200 engine because of the mass availability of the P engine compared to the Rally.. Please don't swap in a P125/150 engine, or heaven forbid a Stella engine. All those engines will bolt right into you Rally though.

I agree, a P200 motor and avoid those smaller motors. The Rally motor & P200 are nearly identical. But if you use a P200 motor, please swap out the stock angular kickstart lever & gear for the curved style original to the Rally. If that's not easy or you don't need to split the motor anyway, SIP have a curved lever that fits the P motor's kickstart gear properly. https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/kickstart+lever+vbb+style+_75122000
