Is there any way of lowering the rear shocker on a Vespa Lx,I have already lowered the seat and stretched the wifes legs on a homemade rack but to no avail,I have noticed the shocker bracket can be moved down the engine case,I'm not sure if this is for adjusting the ride height or just used on a different model,I have tried it but the shock seems to be on a too shallow angle.
thanks in advance..

Not for lowering. Only option would be to cut coils.

Cutting the coils will ruin the shock. They are temperd and it will loose all of it spring. I tried this and I was a waste.

Look into platform boots for a smaller rider. How much clearance does she need? You also don't need to be flat footed at a stop with the scoot straight up in the air.

I am very short (5'2") and 28" inseam, just use boots with 1" plataform or just put left feet down and tilt it a bit. Dortunatelly the LX is very light.

Would a higher spec adjustable shock work. Meaning you can build some sag into it when she gets on.....like you do on a mountain bike?

Thanks for the replies, unfortunately the wife is just under 5ft,I've seen the lower shock you can buy for the front and I'll take what I can off the seat, the rear shock looks the same type as on other vespas,I wonder if there's a slightly shorter one on a different model..

Moving to the other mounting location is probably a little extreme, but you can reverse the mounting bracket which will lower it slightly.

Did you put the lower S seat on?

Shock is travel limiter. Shorter shock if you can find one carb will hit the pet carrier.
