Hi all,

Has anyone used Redline MT-90 synthetic gear oil in their GT200? It appears to meet or exceed all Vespa specs but is designed for automotive transmission use. In a gearbox, does it matter as long as the specs are met?

Thanks in advance.

Nope. Vespa recommends Agip 80W-90 synthetic which is I think an automotive product. I have just replaced my hub oil with Valvoline fully synthetic TDL 75W-90 SynPower GL4/GL5 spec. Had the same peculiar fishy smell as the oil that came out!
