What do you think a 1980 P200E in original good running condition is worth?

Original paint, no damage and fully functional.

Somewhere between $200 and $4000. Take someone who knows old scoots to negotiate. Make sure it is not a Viet-Bodge.

a few of my friends bought okay looking/okay running ones for around 1200-1500. another friend bought a shitbox looking/running one for $300 and got it running in a few days. runs great, but looks like you might need a tetnus shot if you rode it.

running vespa for $1500.00 is a deal...

so depending on the shape its in... 1500-6500....

yeah i said 6500...

i saw a white p200 that was parked in someones living room with only 156mi on the clock...

the damn thing looked like it was on the dealer showroom floor...

it started, ran and everthing functioned...

its all a matter of what your looking at...

is it local? you can hire me to take a look at it for you.... done it a few times before...

Thank you for the fast replies

Heres the deal. I thought it was local and I was going to be in the area anyway and wanted to see it and maybe snatch it up but come to find out its out in Covina. That sucks because now it becomes much more of a time and driving investment just to go check it out.

He said its all original and in good order. He said 'it needs a battery to run the turn signals' ??? But the tires, brakes, cables, lights etc are all good. The body is good, but it needs a paint job, but could be a sled as is. Personally, I would probably let my creative talents go at it in the garage I've always had an affinity for things that look like crap but run like a top.

Its a 1980 and a local bike its whole life. It has 14,000 miles on it. He is asking $2200.

How long does one of these 2-smokers run??

It seems to me that it should be needing alot of work if its all original with that many miles.

One more thing, when I called to ask about the Vespa, he said which one? For some reason that raised a flag. He said hes not a dealer, they are just a hobby. That could mean nothing at all but I just get a spidey tingle.
I would still like to go see it, but my bubble is slightly deflated.

Mate, Go and check it out!

I just drove 17 hours round trip to check out an (Ebay) 1980 50 special
So, a P2 is worth it.

14,000 miles is nothing for a vespa, I'm not sure if your mechanically inclined or not. If you need advise on what to look for PM me and i will give you my number.

$2200 sounds right, My friend bought a 1980 PX125 for $2500 a few weeks ago in Freeport Maine (This story WILL be shared)

You'll never know until ye go! So, go check it oot!

Cheers
