This Vespa has only 1283 miles and is in perfect condition. Never dropped, gently ridden and garage kept. Purchased some months ago and I must part with it.

My only advice is: if it seems too good to be true, it usually is.

The GTs 250 was not available for 2005 to the best of my recollection.

This is true. Can someone chime in on when the GTS became available? Seems like it was spring '06.

Sounds like a great deal. Is the seller in Nigeria and will ship it to you when your cashier's check clears? Be VERY careful.

Hit "PROHIBITED" and if flagged by more than one user, it will be flagged and removed.

Got mine in Aug 05...not sure when you got them over there...

I got my GT in May of '05 and could swear that the GTS came out only a few months after (because I remember thinking, "...if I had only waited a couple of months.")...but I may be completely mistaken about that. Even then, though, I think they were technically '06 models.

MoneyBookers = SCAM SCAM SCAM

Flag 'em, kids!

Yeesh, it sucks that no one has busted that guy on this yet. He's been posting these around for ages. Several threads about it frequently in the Buy/Sell forum. It's seriously annoying that so many of us know exactly what he's doing, and all we can do is flag his posts.

The person selling the scooter may be questionable, but I have had a MoneyBookers account for several years with no problems.

Yes, that is correct. MoneyBookers is the equivalent of our PayPal. It is a legitimate company, but it is often scammed like our PayPal is.

The scammers use a legitimate funds handler name to gain your confidence.

These guys are dumb and easy to spot because the low prices they ask is a dead giveaway.

please excuse my ignorance, but is our paypal often scammed? i use mine a lot and thought it was secure.

I think he means that scammers send fake email notices asking Paypal users to verify their credit card numbers and password and then steal the information and sell it... or use it without your knowledge. They do the same regarding MoneyBookers, but on a lesser scale.

Paypal is perfectly safe and honest - Just never verfy your information as a result of an email inquirey.

Dang! It sounded too good to be true; guess that's right. this guy is now advertising in Rochester NY Craigslist, arranges for "a fast deal" through SafeTransport. Says the bike is in NY; all other text is same as those listed in different cities. He even sent pictures to sweeten the bait.
How does this cluck get nabbed/banned? He dropped his ad from craiglist Rochester after two days, once I had begun correspondence w. him.
So now I'm back to poring over the ads once again.....

funny I talked to guy from Birmingham about a Motorhome in Australia only he was going through a divorce also with bad grammar the language was the same and the vehicle was too good to be true.

Seem to recall this issue came up in late 2008...same MO...just be careful...

The original owner of my scoot bought it in '05 as an '06 model.

That's a new twist on the scam (the grammar/stroke bit).

... only if it has less than 1,300 miles on it. I'm kind of particular about that.
