Hi, Newbie here. Just went thru the hassle of having my 2007 GTV 250 die and leave me stranded. It would idle for a while then stall when giving it gas. After checking everything that was easy (spark plug connector, oil level, air filter, etc) I took it to a local motorcycle shop where they discovered a cracked electrical connector ON the fuel injector.
This was an easy fix (even for me with limited mechanic experience) once I got the part (new fuel injector) from Scooter West (around $90). I also removed my stupid evap system after watching a good video on how to do it on YouTube. Don't top your gas tank off ever (on any vehicle) as it will saturate the evap system and cause problems (a hard lesson learned).
Apparently this broken electrical connector on the fuel injector is a common problem I'm told because it is at the high point of the engine and it hits the bucket insert under the seat causing it to crack or break off. The connector is the grey colored one actually on the injector that the injector wiring plugs into (I would have never found it).
I wish someone would make a video on YouTube on the symptoms of this and how to replace the injector. I would but I'm not that tech savy. Hope this helps someone.
