I had an old BMW moto that used to blow fuses. It happened when the electrolyte in the battery got low (add distilled water if your battery is low). It also had a funky voltage regulator.

Check your battery first. If that looks OK it sounds like something that should be covered by warranty. Don't use a higher rated fuse than is indicated though, or you might melt your wiring!

I think you've likely got a wiring short or a wire pinched to chassis somewhere. It's not fun, but try tracing the wiring harnessees that go the the turn signals and running lights. Take a close look for compromised insulation where the harnesses are clamped down, and anywhere they run across metal edges. Connector terminals are another likely spot for shorts to crop up.

Wiring....there is one harness that feeds the rear tail/signal lights. inspect this first and make sure there is no harness hanging down on the rear wheel. Whenevver we have had fuses blowing...its wiring. Take the time to look

Thanks, so if I can trace this wire hopefully i'll find the offending piece. When I find it is it just a matter of insulation tape or should I strip back and reconnect

Hi, Owen had this problem with his GT200. It could and would literally blow a fuse each time he rode. He had a bunch of new ones he'd have to keep on hand. It ended up being the wiring connected to the kill switch. Once he had the whole relay replaced (I believe it was the ignition relay, but not positive), it never blew a fuse again.

I had one of my GT's in the shop, when they reinstalled the tail light assembly, one of the wires was pinched by the fastening screws, it shorted out the same fuse everytime the key was turned on. It took a little while to find it. But once I did, I spliced the wires back together and it has been fine ever since.
