Do the front wheels ever need aligning? How do we know they are all facing straight and aligned?
Thanks.

One thing for sure, don't bring it to an alignment shop.

Also, I doubt if any Vespa shop has the know how or tools to check it or align it.

The mechanic at Vespa has done almost everything to my MP3 except touch the front end. And he said and he hopes he will never have to..And I hope he will never have to.$$$.lol..A good way to test if the front wheels are aligned I found out is to go about 55 mph on a long road. Then take your hands off the handlebars and put your arms down by you side..And if there is no wobble for at least 2 miles it is ok..I just found out the Vespas dealers can get a tool for the front end.

Well....the question came out cos of the terrain i ride in everyday. The raods here are not the smoothest and constant little pots of holes here and there. At times i hit one with one wheel, at times both.

Bit worried about the fact that the mechanics will not touch the front.
So, how fragile do you think the front 2 are?
Should we all be treating the ride with extra care?

I have not tried riding without my hands on the bar at 55, i do it at 70 while sitting facing backwards

I's sure we can feel if it is not right at much lower speeds anyway.

This doesn't exactly address your questions but you might want to refer to my post which started out with "Help!....". There are things that can go wrong with the front end based on how hard the scoot is driven.
