Hi, dear members. I will introduce myself. I am 42 years old and in daily life I love good cooking and of course driving on the mp3. For 2 years I have been enjoying my piaggio mp3 250 with great pleasure, without problems. My mp3 comes from the year 2010.

Now comes the problem where I like to get help. My engine has driven without oil. The block is now broken. Now I can buy an mp3 young urban 300cc engine. Will this plug and play fit on my mp3 250cc or should adjustments be made? Thanks for the help.

Assuming you get all the required parts like the motor, computer, etc, I can't imagine it being a difficult task other than being labor intensive work.

Based on my experience with the GTS 250 and 300, I'd say you will not notice a substantial performance difference between the two engines. However, it sounds like you need to proceed with an engine swap regardless, so I wish you luck with it.

I have considered upgrading my 250cc to the Malosi 300 Upgraded Engine.
But I just didn't have the Disposable Income to do this and as the Bike becomes older... Mine is a 2009.
When your done, you still have a "Old MP3 250 Style" Bike with body parts that will become more and more difficult to find.

My thoughts find a good used MP3/400, and keep the MP3/250 for body parts.

Note: You need to update your profile, not sure if your in the US or outside of the US.

I have now fitted the 300cc engine. Now I see that the stator has a different connection. The old block has a brown connection and the new block has a white one. Now I think of 2 options:

- mount the stator of the 250cc in the 300cc, is this possible?
- Cut the white connection and solder the brown connection to it.

What is the best to do ?

I would try the 250 stator first... although I am not sure if it physically fits. The 300 stator may be wired differently and not electrically compatible with the 250's voltage regulator/harness/computer/etc.
