If I want to convert my P150X to electronic ignition: can I use the existing flywheel?

There was a photo in the tips and tricks thread but it has disappeared. If your points flywheel has the magnets that overlap, then you can use it apparently.

Hard to describe without a picture but the magnets have spaces between them. The type you are looking for has 'fingers' that sort of interlace, without touching, only in one spot around the inner circumference of the flywheel.

Hope that helps!

Thanks, useful info. I assume the timing stays the same?

Thanks guys. The normal P150 flywheel is as shown in the photo, but I found one without the cam, so I'll use the camless one.
