will vespa have any 2008 models?

was kind of hoping they would come out with an '08 version of a 250 sized engine.

They are. It's called a 2008 GTS 250ie.

As for anything NEW and 250cc, the GTS was only released, what, 2 years ago? (well, three if you count the fact that the '06 models were released in '05 in places)...so my guess is it's going to be a few more years before a totally redesigned 250 (or higher) hits the market...(not counting the GTV...but even that's basically just a GTS with a tad different window dressing.)

Has the "S" hit the streets in the U.S., yet?

I appreciate it. Not that I'm aware of...not that I'd know, being 200 miles from a Vespa dealer...or at least a Vespa dealer that knows anything about the brand. Has it hit the streets anywhere in the world yet?

The most recent educated guess I heard is December/January. Dealers can't even order them yet, because they don't appear in Piaggio's online inventory yet. Dealers put their orders in from what's available in the online inventory. Once it appears there, maybe Bosco or Tanya could give us a heads up?

dealer meeting starts sunday. we should know more next week. i'm hoping they have an S model there for me to ride. woot! woot!

According to the Dealer in New Port Beach, the S model should be available here in the US before the end of the year as a 2008 model.

Now, we all know how reliable the dealears are.... lets hope for the best and expect the worst or better yet expect nothing!
