Good evening . I'm new to the forum so thought it would be appropriate to say hello . I'm at the moment restoring a T5 millenium and am wondering if there's any tips as to removing the whole electrical loom. Any help would be greatly appreciated . Many thanks westy

If its for restoring strip the frame bare then unclipped the rear light part of the loom from the frame n feed it into the tank part .... then unclipped the indicators n pull everything into the tank space then pull the whole loom out through the front after unclipping the wires from the connector block under the horncover. .... take photos a plenty. .... getting it back in is the fun bit
I did it with my last rebuild Think this needs moving to nsm 👍 Had it blasted so everything came off

Well you certainly have a nice scooter. I suppose you already have some mechanical experience.
The ordeal itself is probably not indifferent to other Vespa models, ET4 and such. What exactly do you wish to achieve? Specific questions to the exact model? Let me write here, I've seen forum entries concerning changing out the complete wiring of an ET4 early model and the later ET4 Leader model. This is quite an endeavour. Read this, a pita. If you're not able to let's say, exchange a motor, then let it be. I'm sure you have a job experience through education or OJT or otherwise. Would you have been able to do the same without any previous experience? Just saying. |
