Saturday - Going to Austin to watch the Longhorns.
Sunday - Going riding.*

What you got goin' on?

6-8 inches of snow predicted tonight; no riding for me. Father-in-law turns 92 so driving 500 miles round trip on Saturday for a party I'm not sure he'll remember.

Friday afternoon,,,,,starting the custom build for the front carrier for my F250 to haul the newly acquired little Vespa 300GTSie. Hope to finish it Saturday, but no time constraint. It will be the ultimate Vespa front carrier, but according to some of you, the only one ever made and not safe by a million miles, right? We'll see.

Riding!!! It's finally warming up a bit over here (north of Houston), and I'm going to spend as much time as I can in the saddle. Looks like a bit of rain in the forecast, but I'm the optimistic sort.

Oh! And cleaning/packing the Airstream for a Thanksgiving trip to Big Bend/Davis Mountains/McDonald Observatory. First time out there, and wish it was a whole lot longer, but I'll take what I can get!

This picture leads me to all sorts of crazy ideas with the ET4... Ha!!!!

Saturday I'll start winterizing scooters....

We had an early winter this year. It should be in the mid fifties but it is snowing like crazy right now. Roads have been salted. That equates to the end of the riding season for me.... sad. I will bring my bicycle in tomorrow and put it in the basement. There's still leaves on the trees so yard work hasn't ended...

I also have some wine work to do which will probably be done on Sunday while the Redskins are beating the Texans....

I've been off all week burning the last of my vacation and/or leave time before the year end. I took a long ride on Sunday, mowed the lawn on Monday, raked leaves on Wednesday, today and tomorrow shovelling snow. Back to work on Sunday, I need a break.

Snowing right now in the CT. It is thick and fun watching the cars slide around.

Working on a client project then visiting my dad who's health is slipping pretty fast and is pretty depressed about it. He has recently started falling a lot and fell out of the bed and really messed himself up. Your weekend sounds better JP.

I'm beginning the drive to Mississippi to visit my favorite granddaughter.

Putting the bits and bobs on my new 383 stroker crate engine, and hopefully getting it in the truck.

My son's birthday is on Sunday.

My wife doesn't think I should ride with all the fire particulate in the air, but maybe I can sneak in a grocery trip on the scoot.

Friday is paid vacation day, off to St.Louis with Mitsubishi for free oil change, free car wash, and check a few things, to Diana's Bakery to pick up some goodies, to Moto Europa with that bag of goodies, oh, the Motorcycle Museum is also there and Triumph Grill, taking a friend who has never been to those places, then off to Manchester Street, where lives Flying Tiger Motorcycle and a slew of small shops I like, fair trade shop, book shop, coffee shop... then home. Saturday is home chores, might even get those dratted shelves out of the van and into the shop building IF I have some help. Sunday is Springfield and doll club meeting. And that's how this old gal spends her off season time, working so I have $$ to support the scoots, the vehicles, the playing.

We're hosting several cousins and my brother for our annual pre-Thanksgiving get together. My brother gets to see the cousins once a year, and my son and his wife come over as well. I'll cook a couple of legs of lamb on the grill, and we'll have some shrimp and grits. Sorta KY surf and turf.

Thanks Dave, its appreciated. Just got an email from my stepmother immediately after I read this thread. TBH MV can be a pretty tight family for an Internet forum and I feel like I know a lot of the regulars on here.

I know for sure I'm also not the only person here that has a less than incredible weekend ahead of them. Hell I'd much rather be going for a long ride on one of my rides. But you take life as you get it and roll with the punches. The tittle of the thread was " What are YOU doing this weekend? " and well that's what I'm doing...

I'll be installing LED lights on the rear of my scooter.

Then I'll watch USC try to salvage something of this season by beating UCLA. (Of course, UCLA will be trying to accomplish the same thing.)

And, prepping for Thanksgiving.

If work gets delayed, I'll go to Micro-Car South in Orlando. Riding the BR, Sweet P is down till the new CDI arrives

Hopefully change both my oils in the GTS. It's time, and now that it's warmed up 20 degrees to tolerable weather, time to get it done. And, hopefully a bit of a ride, which may be the last of the year. If it's not the cold, it's the darkness.
Edit: Snow in tomorrow's forecast. Ride cancelled unless I can find a ski for the front tire....

Daughter turned 16 today, and having a friend over Saturday to continue the celebration. Gives me a chance to catch up on odd jobs.

Packing up to leave for Mexico City next week. Looking forward to seeing wife's family again and all the good stuff I can enjoy down there.

Thoughts your way, Harbinger....tough time. I dread it coming with my mom, hopefully not too soon.

I believe this is the first weekend since the beginning of October that we haven't had something pre-planned.

With highs in the 70's this weekend in Houston, I would really like to get the Outrage Whaler out, and see if I can cash in on the Flounder run currently going on. The past couple of days of near freezing temps should have them leaving the bays for the open gulf.

Can I make a reservation for the Spring? I've lived in Houston twice; we're practically brothers.

Bought a GT200 10 days ago. Took off the handlebar covers and glovebox and currently waiting for an order with a bunch of assorted parts and things I wanted to change.

We are in smokey San Francisco visiting our daughter.

Saturday, we are driving to Carmel by the Sea for the night.

Unfortunately, no scooters involved.

I have something very exciting happening. However, I am not going to say anything until it happens.

Sounds like either:

1. A new PTW
2. A new job
3. A big fat tasty promotion

I'm hoping the snow melts and dries up so I can finish my fall cleanup. I put 16 lawn bags out for pickup last Monday. Hopefully 10 more bags will finish the job.

The scooters have been tucked back in the corner of the garage, closer to the electrical outlet so the battery temder will reach, and to make room for the patio furniture. If the temp miraculouusly gets back over 60 in the next few months I can still squeeze the Vespa out for a quick spin. But I don't anticipate that happening any time before April.

Maybe we'll rent a couple scooters while escaping to warmer climates this winter.

I was PROCRASTINATING on raking my leaves, now I have the perfect excuse... they're covered with snow!

I'll probably end up working part of the weekend, and spend a couple of hours taking apart some shelving to bring to my father-in-law's store over Thanksgiving.

Reality this weekend: I have a Banjo Lesson Monday, so, I need to spend several hours picking away at my 5 String. I will be watching my blushing bride bouncing around with excitement because she actually loves planning and preparing for Thanksgiving.

Hopefully your wife is more supportive than my college friend. I came over and he proudly offered to play Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and his GF was like, "Oh, Gene, not again!" They didn't last long.

It is amazing the reward and pleasure I get out of scooter riding with new/old friends and plucking Blue Grass on that Banjo.

To keep me on track, I group ride with the scooter and continue to take lessons
on the Banjo. I have really appreciated your good work on putting together
your annual Wisconscoot group ride. For those of you who don't know, Fledermaus can find the most amazing scenic twisty, up and down, and curving roads in the Wisconsin Region.
