Modern Vespa

While hanging out with my kids last night, I watched a music video by Rhianna on MTV. I think the title of the song may be "Shut up and Drive" or "Drive".

In the song she says she "would rather ride a scooter than a limousine".

Anyone know of any other songs that mention how great scooter are?

there's actually quite a few songs about the ol' scooters. I can't think of anymore at the moment.

We had a group called "Roberto Jacketti and the Scooters" strangely enough they never even mentioned a scooter in their songs.

I gave the drummer a lift om my PX years ago.

there's a song in that old Rudolph animated Christmas show where "Johnny wants a scooter."

I think that's a very literal translation; considering that Simon and Garfunkel seem to write lyrics in a very abstract manner.

i love terri t's cherry blossom clinic. it's my favorite radio show! i listen in every week. just check her page and see all the incredible live bands she's had just in the last few years. whew!

I'm pretty sure "Fox" by the Swedish punk band Millencolin is an ode to the singer's secondhand scooter. It's been in my head a lot lately with my new purchase. =)

No lyrics... actual sound!. Video for some bizarre ass reason shows a motorcycle, but ya' just know that's a two-stroke in the audio track. That, and I've always had a thing for the Tones. Horns Baby!
