Two years ago today, I bought my LX 150 from Demon Larry at Vespa Cleveland. Y'all know by now that I'm pretty anal about keeping records. I don't ride a lot of miles, but I do ride the scoot most of the time. We have snow and salt here, so it is usually a 9+ month riding season.

Here are the numbers:
5406 total miles since new
90.91 gallons of gas at an average cost of $2.894/gallon
59.39 average MPG at a cost of $.049/mile

Miles driven/ridden since 9/10/06:
 2729   Vespa LX150
534   Suzuki Burgman 400 (new this July)
15   Vespa 180 SS (new to me last October)
0   MGA (engine failed last August and I haven't touched it...)
 3309   Subaru WRX
So my total riding for the year was 31 miles less than my total driving. Not too bad.

(Spikes on the chart below coincide with group rides. Apparently I do much worse on my short daily commute than longer, more consistent speed rides.)

Nice to see the graph. I'm interesting in learning what you think may be behind the gradual decrease in mpg over time? Has your route, riding habits changed? Curious since I am approaching the two year mark myself.

Heavy handed since the end of break in, I think. Note that the 55 MPG mark just below the "P" in Vespa was where I changed from mostly stock to the Malossi 190cc kit, Malossi Variator and Kevlar belt, Scorpion exhaust, Vespa flyscreen, Denso Iridium plug, and Zippy 1 rear tire, so I expected a drop in MPG there. I don't know why it trended down so consistently before and after that point, though. The Burgman didn't influence it. If anything, I've been less enthusiastic on the throttle for the last seven data points since getting the Burgman. If I want to go somewhere fast, I take it, instead.

Hey Steve, wasn't it you who did a mileage spreadsheet for us almost 2 years ago?

Congrats on your anniversary. I didn't even think about my own until reading this thread. I picked up my ET4 in August 2005. Wrecked it in March '06 and got the Stella. So....2 years and a month total riding for me although I don't keep records like you. I wish I did.

I'm still living by your spreadsheet....

BTW,
Ave cost of gas/gallon since Feb '06 = $2.902
Ave MPG same period = 69.6
Median MPG (my add) = 70.32
Fuel cost per mile ridden = $.042
Total cost per mile for all expenses (every glove, bit of oil, service, purchase price, jacket, chrome, sticker..... another of my adds) = $.86 and dropping

Welcome to my geekdom!
