Hi folks

I purchased my first ever Vespa this week.
A second hand Vespa GTS 125 Super Sport I.E. 2011
I just wanted to know, given that the speedometer displays the KMH larger than the MPH, does that mean the distance on the analogue counter is in Kilometres too?
Sorry for the dumb question, I'm used to digital clocks

Yes, the odometer is in km as well.

And welcome to Vespa ownership and the Modern Vespa forum.

Wow. That means my Vespa hasn't done hardly any miles then. It was sold to me as having done 320 miles - but you've confirmed my suspicions in that it's done 320 kilometers (198 miles)

Hah! It's not even broken in yet. Where on earth did you find such a pristine but sadly underused steed?

Here in the UK. The only issue, is the battery needs replacing in the clock...
It's in perfect condition

Love the shot of the Humber bridge, I remember as kid going to see it being built, having lunch on the old ferry.

Hello AH, a warm welcome to MV. I love the picture of your GTS 125 in front of the Humber Bridge, the rainy conditions make for a nice atmospheric shot.

There's a couple of videos posted on youtube which will help you with the tricky process of replacing your clock battery.

Did your scoot not come with any mirrors or did you remove them?

Thanks for all the love everyone

The Humber Bridge is about 5 minutes away from my house.

The GTS did come with mirrors which I removed. I have to go through an alleyway to get my bike into my back garden and I kept scuffing them. I'm wanting some foldable bar end mirrors but don't know what I'm looking for. I don't fancy drilling the handlebars or cutting things off so don't know what to do for the best 🤔

Maybe throw mirror tool/s in the glovebox? They are lifesavers. Easier done on the newest GTS as the mirror nut stands proud and easy with an end wrench.
Perhaps the Chinese, who have several billion mirrors on ebay have your solution? Take a weeks vacation and look/see.
Hoyle in Hull, kind cute, spouse abuse not so much... Laughing emoticon

You can get shorty mirrors, identical style but shorter arms.

Look on Sips website.

Welcome to MV from the Great White North!

Replacing the clock battery is relatively easy. Did mine last summer, takes less than 30 minutes.

Bar end mirrors often stick out even more than standard bar mounted ones. You may have to choose carefully.

Yeah, that's what's concerning me. I'm hoping to find some that fold inwards
