I'M TRYING THE RIDE AGAIN FOR NEXT SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2007; AND I HOPE MANY OF YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE IT THIS TIME. I hope many of our new MP3 owners will be able to attend, and of course, any ModernVespa folks and their friends are invited, too!

ROUTE: We'll start our ride by heading E/B on Stone Valley Road to Green Valley Road. Turn RIGHT on Green Valley Road and proceed S/B to Diablo Valley Road. At DVR turn LEFT and proceed E/B on DVR onto Blackhawk Road to Camino Tassajara Road. At CTR turn LEFT and proceed Southeast to Highland Road. At Highland Road, turn LEFT and proceed E/B onto Manning Road to North Livermore Avenue. At NLA turn RIGHT and proceed to Portola Avenue. At Portola, turn RIGHT and proceed on Portola onto East Airway Blvd to Kitty Hawk Road. At KHR, turn RIGHT and proceed to Nissen Drive. At Nissen Dr, turn LEFT and proceed to our first rest stop at California Speed-Sports aka Livermore Vespa/Piaggio.

From Calif Speed-Sports, proceed back to Kitty Hawk and turn RIGHT. Follow Kitty Hawk onto Hwy 84. Proceed on Hwy 84 through Livermore, Pleasanton to Sunol. At Sunol, we'll stop for lunch at Bosco's.

AFTER LUNCH: Everyone is on their own and free to head home or continue riding. I'll be heading toward Walnut Creek via Foothill Blvd out of Sunol. Those riders returning to the San Jose Area, Santa Cruz, Tracy, etc. can head back EAST on Hwy 84 to Hwy 680.

I really hope you'll be able to join me for a great day of riding and eating. This will be an opportunity to get to know some of the people you chat with on the forum, and get some insights into our very unusual and wonderful machines! I'll start a Signup List on the next reply message.

There are no MP3 folks on that website, but it would be a great site if I were still on the dating scene. My wife and I have been together for 42 years/married for 37, and I don't want to start shopping around at this late date!

haha, there is a very large scooter meetup group (436 Scooters to be exact) here on that website that schedule rides with a few MP3's, didnt know if that was the same in your area.

In our area, it seems to mainly be Vespa folks, young Vespa singles by the looks of it.

Really, ModernVespa.com and the Yahoo MP3 site are the main sites in Northern California. In fact, most of the folks on this site are on the other, too! If not me, I hope someone in the Greater Bay Area will be able to generate interest in the MP3 owners getting together. Maybe "87andstill..." or "Adam" will get us all together.

I know "87..." has proposed a club for us MP3's fanatics. I guess time will tell, but for now, I'm hoping that at least a couple of locals will want to get together for a ride next Saturday. I believe there are at least 20 of us in Central Contra Costa County, but who knows how many are reading and posting on ModernVespa.com?
