Hey guys. Just found the bike of my dreams, but it's in San Francisco and I'm in Vegas. It looks like it all checks out, but it would be nice if a knowledgeable member in the area could stop by and give it a good once over before I commit to it. Any takers? PM me and we can work it out. Thanks in advance!

Is it at a dealer or a private party? (I work in SF so could help during the work day but it would be a lot harder to do outside of working hours.)

Here she is. As my wife said, "It's very Dave." I'll take that as a compliment I guess.
My question is, is $4,500 too much for a 2015 GTS 300 Super? Especially given it got bumped by a garage door so the molding is warped at the floorboard. I was thinking of offering an even $4k. Opinions? Owner seems legit, and they have dealer service records. 5,700 miles, which to me shows some good use, but not too much use. (I'll double that within the year, but that's beside the point...) Desl is on his way over to check it out, so of course all this is contingent on that being the only issue. |

I've got to believe now that we are out of the "riding season" there can't be people knocking down his door for the scoot. Be a tough negotiator. Don't worry, if things don't go the way you want, another "dream scoot" will come on the scene shortly. They always do. Good luck! |

Good luck! Let us know how it turns out.
Still think you may be smart to offer $3500. You may be surprised. All he can do is say no. Or, he could jump on it and you'd save $250. That's enough for a top box, some crash bars, or an awesome jacket or helmet. |

As a dude with a serious West Coast Craigslist surfing habit, I'd say that's actually a pretty decent price.
And if it's the one you really want, it's a really decent price. |

Look at this one in the For Sale section, only 224 miles.. You could get it shipped to your door for under $500 and you'd have an as new Vespa with ABS

Alright- I pulled the trigger! Offered $4,200, paying $4,300. First, just want to say how insanely amazing it is that I can go on an Internet forum and find a knowledgeable person in the next state over to meet a stranger and perform a full on inspection of a bike for a dude he's never met. Huge thanks and kudos to desl- I can't thank you enough. And he wasn't even the only one that offered (MJRally I'm looking at you).
Anyway, the bike is in pristine condition except for the little ding on the molding. Piles of maintenance receipts. Extremely well kept, like new. Rear tire needs replacing is it, maybe front brake pads, hence the extra discount. I believe desl will be doing a post hereabout it. And here, for your enjoyment, is a picture of her monkey butt.

You came out good if the damage is not to metal. If the damage is to plastic components, you should be fine.
