Modern Vespa

Got notice that my GTS is part of the recall for exhaust problems last week. Tried to set up an appt with my dealer. At first they didn't know of any recall, but they are still waiting for Vespa to ship the required parts to them....don't call them, they'll call me. Is this pretty much standard for everyone or is this just a Hawaii thing? Thanks.

The two dealers in my area have been hit and miss. Bob's BMW/Vespa had only one kit in stock and my brother got that one. Vespa Washington didn't have any until I told them I wanted the recall. No one had come to Vespa Washington wanting the recall so they didn't stock any.

I'm waiting right now for Bob's to get another kit in and do the recall there. Some other dealers, specifically California ones I've noticed, were on top of the recall before most of the public knew about it.

I had to tell my dealer about it. He said they take care of it next time I bring it in for service. (assuming he has the parts)

we've had a bunch of the new parts for a while now, and with at least 4 appointments this week to have it done, we've got a bunch more on order..
