Does anyone know if the spare lock that comes with a Piaggio/Vespa bike will fit into a Shad top case?

I bought a new GTS 300, but it didn't come with a spare lock. Was I cheated?

If you plan to order a Vespa top case, I say, "Yes, you were cheated".

All I know is that a spare lock came with my 2019 BV 350, which I bought a few days ago. I assume that including the lock with the bike is meant to promote the sale of a Piaggio top case. If I had a Piaggio top case the starter key would also lock the top case. However, I had already ordered a Shad top case, because for me, getting a color matching top case from Piaggio was not worth the extra money.

What I found missing from my BV 350 was the rain cover for the seat. The seat cover compartment is still there, under the saddle, but there is no seat cover fabric in it.

Cheated implies stealing, while not getting something is not a crime.

My BV350 also came with a spare lock cylinder keyed to the bike's ignition key. Very handy in that you need to only carry one key. That cylinder certainly fits the Piaggio topcases, but I doubt it fits other brands. At least in the examples of the two GTS I have purchased, the GTS does not come with such a cylinder. The Piaggio topcase for Vespa comes with a lock cylinder with its own smaller key and you must carry both keys with you. The extra cylinder is a good idea, though, and I don't know why Piaggio doesn't do it for the Vespa.
