Funny to hear that the dealer thought it was a transmission issue. That was my first idea as well. Like a slipping belt, or breaks that get grip so every half second bit more bit less. As the entire drive and driven setup was nearly due to be replaced, I replaced all, hoping to have a result, yet not ...

Can you give some more description about your vespa (milage, usage, age, ...) maybe we can find some simularities that might point out the cause. Really happy to hear if replacing the ecu solved the problem, like you said, annoying ,and unsafe + I'm not taking it for longer runs of multiple days ... good luck mate ! thx for your information so far happy to hear more
2015 GTS300 - 9,500 miles. I'm putting about 3,000 miles per year on the scooter, mostly back and forth to work on non-highway roads. The "elastic band issue" has been happening since I purchased the used scooter in July 2016 (with only 400 miles). I've just become used to it. On the highway I tend to go faster (close to wide open throttle) to avoid the jerking (which seems most pronounced around 55- 60 mph). Sometimes I just deal with it and let the scooter shake away. It's rather annoying, though. I should have the new ECU/throttle body installed by this weekend. I'll keep you posted.
Tentatively, my new ECU/throttle body has fixed my "elastic band issue". I just got the scooter back yesterday (with the new ECU installed), and I tried to ride it at the speed where I had the "rubber band" issue, and I did not feel it. The test was short, but I'll do some additional tests in the near future and post back if the "rubber banding" continues.

solved problem
so after changing lamba en injector (no solution) I had the ECU unit replaced completely with result. All is fine. It was a TPS issue. Interesting to know when reading the TPS sensor angle the values just went all the way from few degrees to max with no throttle input.

Prior to the ECU replacement I changed like everything ... But in the end the wasp is driving like new.

My advice: when having the issue, measure the tps degrees. When they go crazy, you know where to start from.... a new ECU
