Nyle has a Gilera 180. I've only seen two other Gileras in Southern California, so they're pretty rare out here.

If you mean the original Runner then I had a VXR 200 - the 4 stroke.
They were probably the nicest looking and easiest to mod 2-stroke in the UK for some time. 125 makes a nice 172 and the 180 - well I wanted one of those but the EU decided to ban 2-strokes so I ended up with the 200. Good handling and brakes although high COG. Get a 2-stroker or VXR200, the VX125 is a bit lame. They are a target for the crack head youth, panels stolen overnight is not unheard of. I replaced all my self tap screws with security torx - this was after they stole my tail lamp lense and grab rail. A year later she was gone in a van...all on camera. PS. removed all the stickers shortly after this pic was taken as there are shite. ⚠️ Last edited by simes on UTC; edited 4 times

My colleague has a runner 125 that he's used daily for 4 years with only a few wear and tear type problems. He's now thinking of changing it for a yamaha x max 250.
He has had a few body and trim pieces lifted by hoodies over the years. They are VERY popular with thieves in london. |

Sweet~
Your gunna Love, Love, Love, that SP180. A Club member of mine has one in Sacramento, CA. He says it handles way better than is Dragster 180.
I rode his Dragster last weekend and It was a total kick. He tells me that the SP180 is his favorite scooter in his small collection including a Dragster 180, a Dragster 50, PX200, & Rally 200. He says the power band is smooth and its one exciting scooter to ride...Of course he has a huge pipe on it. It's really a no brainer when you think of the fact that Nyle has one... You know Nyle would have the best! Pick it up fast... They are hard to come by in the U.S. Scoots wrote: simes wrote: Get a 2-stroker or VXR200, the VX125 is a bit lame. |

I got the chance to ride a Runner 180 and was hooked. If you know of one for sale, buy it.

Yeah, I hear the dragster is a bit more top heavy than the Gilera, which reminds me, my friend has a dragster 180 here in so cal if anyone is interested in dropping a chunk of change. No finders fees or anything, just pm me.

Well I hope it stops when you press the brakes...
The first time I pulled the brakes on Scooter Daddy's dragster I almost went over the handle bars. |

the runner is not for shorties (i'm 5'4 btw). i checked out one but i couldn't even straddle the thing!!
i had to get on it while it was on the centerstand then push the bike to get it off the stand! would've purchased it if not for that. |

One thing you have to watch is your money, You will start buying all the go-fast stuff it very fast. I had 12,000 hard ridden miles on my built motor before it finally destroyed the piston. If you get a Gilera Runner make sure is a 2000-on up ( you can tell by the rear disk brake). The 1998-1999 models had a drum rear brake and smaller gas tank. |

Easy to mod - a 125 into a 172cc is very popular and can produce a very quick bike. I've ridden my local scooter dealers road legal machine and you can lift the front wheel up on power alone at 45mph. |

Woohoo! Go Scoots!
My mate has the VXR 200 but reckons the 180 is even better. And he's feeling very smug 'cos his mate with the Dragster is having problemos and he's sitting pretty. Happy Scooting, Scoots! |
