And this probably belongs over in the "Pro Tips" thread but, if you are out riding your scooter and you start thinking about all that vortex and orbit and Sun zooming along stuff and it occurs to you that as the Sun is goes along it's way it's also following a curved path as it rotates around the center of the galaxy and that the galaxy itself is following a curved path as it dances around with the other galaxies in the Local Group and that the entire Universe is expanding and then you also start thinking about how countersteering works and you start pondering which direction your bike will actually go when you press on the right hand grip, be aware that your helmet is not designed to contain the resultant tremors in your head and an unsafe situation could result.

Thiepval memorial in Northern France is closed until July.

I know this fact because I rode there today and couldn't get in. 😞

Bummer - and according to the website it's just the memorial building itself that's closed, not the whole site. At least there are plenty of other sites around there and in Belgium to visit and pay respects.

Still, good rideout.

We did discuss this with the rider. He was on blood pressure medicine, did
not eat breakfast at the breakfast ride kick off location, and his blood pressure
must have been so low he fell asleep.

I can remember being sleepy diving a car on a long trip at night. I would
slap myself and drink soft drinks with caffeine to stay alert. Plus, we are
old farts in my riding group - not the same stamina when we were younger.

He luckily fell into tall mowed crass in the side ditch. He was fine, his
Burgman 650 was totaled. He had on a helmet with full armored riding
gear. He threw off the scoot into the tall high soft crass. His gear, saved him
but, the scoot got wrecked.
