SOLD
The White P200 has been sold.
A cool dude named Chris from Springfield came over to the coast today and left with the P in his truck. Luckybear just happened to be here tightening shift cables on Flo and went for a ride through the neighborhood with him. He comes from a sportbike background, but wants something cool to ride around the Eugene area. He was stoked because he read this thread and knew what he was getting... The engine is sweet. I'm still amazed with the slight porting how it woke this engine up. Thank you all for all the input and advice. It is very much appreciated! It's been a super fun project. Turning out the lights.... ![]() A final parting picture

Thanks guys! It does feel good to know it was a solid build, and to get some space in the garage. I rode the GTS-250 today into town. Needless to say Ruby, the P200 that has been tucked away in the back of the garage is moved to pole position for the next run into town. And the GTS is for sale....
And Voodoo! I'm going to end up with a smallie one of these days, just because of you! Ha! ![]() |

A little update. The new owner of the White P200 is Chris, or ScooterNewB. He's put over 700 miles on Feebs (the white P's name) and ridden it almost every day since he's got it!
He bought a 24/24 carb and pipe from ScooterMercato and came over last friday for a "lets install some stuff" day on the scooters. Something also that was really cool is he picked up a box of parts for me from WhoDatChrome in Portland, who picked up from Voodoo in Seattle. Very cool! Voodoo flipped me that 20/20 carb for B-62, a seat frame, and a couple 2-port 150cc cylinders and pistons. It was really cool of Chris to do this for me! So here is where the story gets good. Friday was my birthday, which Chris didn't know, which was perfect. But what I didn't know was my wife had planned a surprise birthday party for me at noon. Just a bunch of friends over for cake and ice cream. Chris and I were just getting ready to take off and check the jetting on his new carb and the first car pulled up, with a cake and ice cream. I just though a few friends were stopping by to wish me a happy birthday and brought a cake. Then the next car pulled up. My buddy Cliff. My brain said: "What's he doing here? He's working!" Then it dawned on me. I'm definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed! After a couple of hours of visiting and eating cake and ice cream, Chris and I finally got to go for a few rides. We got to ride all three bikes around town and dialed in his new carb and pipe. It was an awesome day indeed, and a perfect sunny day way to celebrate a birthday! ![]() Red, White, and Blue!
![]() Let's ride - which one you want to ride first?!?

I haven't posted to this thread in a while so here is an update. Ruby is running great, considering the cases have never been opened and she's almost got 10,000 miles on her. She's also traveled over 5,000 miles on the back of the 30' motorhome, which she travels admirably and it's nice to ride where ever we are staying.
Today was one of those winter days when the storms pass, and the sun comes out briefly, so I put all the must-do's aside, gassed Ruby up, checked the tires, and geared up. Then headed north along one of my favorite strips of pavement, to Yachats. There was very little traffic along the coast today and it made it super enjoyable in the twisties, which the road is pretty much all one big windy road. I had a chocolate filled crescent and a hot cup of coffee, and watched the ocean roll in. Then headed towards home and decided to go to the South Jetty in Florence, cause I haven't been out there in a while and it was still early. The recent storms put up a ton of driftwood up on the south jetty - pretty amazing to see trees floating down the river and washed up on the rocks. Just thought I'd share ![]() Crescent and coffee and Ocean - doesn't get much better!

Well, you shamed me into it. If you can ride in the chill of Oregon, I can ride in the cool of Fresno. I unwrapped Spermy yesterday and took a 10 mile run across town. Granted, riding the streets of Fresno is nowhere and inspiring as riding the coast of Oregon but it sure did feel good to get out on two wheels.
Thanks for the boost.

Thanks V - and someday I'm hoping to get up to your neck of the woods, or maybe you'll make it down here and we can do that famous 35 mile ride up the coast to Yachats. I even have a scooter for you to ride!
BTW, it's not really famous, it's just my favorite run, so, famous to me ![]() And Luckybear - good man! Keep that scooter running! No need to go into hibernation. And just so you know, I went and picked up Hukilau takeout for dinner tonight, and made a trip to True Value, the hardware store first. Daily driver |

Today, Chris brought Feebs over. He's been wrestling with a short that blows the fuse every couple of days. And I apologize in advance for not taking a bunch of pictures...
So we did a number of things... 1) replace positive and negative battery connectors. They were spade connectors and we swapped them out to eyelet connectors 2) dialectic greased and tightened down the regulator. It was loose and the ohmmeter showed 0.001 on the ground wire. Now it shows 0.000. N resistance. 3) tighten up the fork! The front fork was sloppy so we loosened up the headset and pulled it up to find dry bearings in the upper race, and managed to drop a bearing down the neck while trying to fix the bearing holder. So we greased it up sans bearing and tightened it up. 4) while doing the above we discovered a wire in the harness that had it's insulation worn off. The grey wire or rear brake light. Chris tested the theory that it was the main issue by touching a screwdriver to it and ground and pop goes the fuse. We got some liquid insulation and globbed that on. Also, we made a plastic shim to stuff into the column to protect the harness from further rubbing. At this point there were high fives and hell yeahs going on. 5) we replaced a chunk of green wire while the headset was off with a big piece of heat shrink tubing. 6) soldered a loose wire onto the back of the light switch. It was for the high beam. 7) tightened up the front brake cable, making it functional now. Oh, and we went and got burritos and ate them with a view of the jetties, then a ride around the outskirts of Florence. It was a bitchen day. Chris has put over 7k miles on Feebs since I handed her over to him. We'll to the steering bearings at 10k. ![]() Where is that electrical short?
![]() There it is!

Today was a bittersweet day.
Feebs came back to live in my garage and My buddy Chris (Scootnewb) is moving.....to Florida! I'm going to keep Feebs here at my place so he'll have a scooter when he comes to visit. And I'll treat it like my own, putting it in rotation, fix whatever, etc. So it'll be ready whenever he makes it back to the West Coast. Sad day indeed though - my riding and wrenching buddy is moving..... We did get some stuff done on this rainy morning though Feebs old left cowl reinstalled Feebs rear tire changed B62s loose headset tightened Grub screws added instead of the pinch bolts at the selector box (thanks GeekLion) And lots and lots of BS. Good times.... ![]() ![]() Chris working,me BSing..
![]() Get that tube in there!
![]() The spare is looking good

Cessna's fly between 100 & 200 mph, so let's just go with 150mph About a thousand miles up the coast. That's six hrs flying time. Then there is the stop for gas - once, twice? The brake light wasn't working.
Bulb was good. Pulled headset and plugged in the brake wire (it was loose) and the front brake switch was back in business! Rear brake pedal switch, not so much. So I took the pedal out and the switch. Took it apart and gave the contact points a lick with a file. Put it back together and all is working again. Some good scooter therapy today 😃 ![]() The pedal brake switch - I took it apart to file the contact points

Chris and I have been talking about Feebs and what I should do to her. We decided on an O-Tune like Ruby, but with a brand new cylinder and piston.
Feebs currently has a 3rd over cylinder and almost 10k miles. And after riding her it's obvious she needs: the shifter and throttle tubes cleaned and lubed, maybe new cables, Clutch rebuild, New front tire So first things first: rewatch the below O-Tune vid, review Ruby's thread, page 9 P200e - this time for real! (Ruby's Thread) (Post 2629778) Then port the cylinder and piston Drop the engine and clean, clean, clean Install the cylinder & piston, then pressure test Reinstall engine Clean headset stuff and check cables. With this list, I'm gonna get busy. It'll probably take all winter, but I'm in no hurry ![]() Time to begin - but first, a bite of coffee cake muffin 😆
