Modern Vespa

I bought a new used MC that came with 3(!) seats, one of them a Corbin. I contacted Corbin about retrofitting heating in the seat. They do it and I decided to ride over and get it done. Its about an hour from my house. I'd never been there. I pick it up Monday. When I dropped it off, they allow customers to wander the shop floor. I was surprised but took advantage of it. I grabbed some pictures while there. The shop was about 100,000-200,000 sq ft and I think there we're about 40-50 workers. Enjoy. Miguel

Great seats and customer service. Took there factory tour back in early 2000. They still do it the old school way.

Very cool! The Corbin seat I have on my GTS is my third Corbin. Great to have a look at their factory/shop. The workmanship is first rate, each has looked classy, and each has been very comfortable. My first two needed some time to "break in" - this most current one on my Vespa was great right from the get-go. With several thousand miles on it now, I couldn't be more pleased. It would be a treat to see how they are made.

Just a couple more interesting shots of the latest (maybe) electric car they are working on. This one was hanging upside down from the ceiling in their large cafe. One is posted as you see it hanging upside down. The others, I rotated so you can see just how beautiful this car is. $31K and they aren't delivering yet. 3 wheeler if its not obvious.

Hollister actually, about 50 miles SE of Santa Cruz. Nice ride over there too.

Cool! We circumnavigated Hollister on the way down from Sacramento to Morro for the CB -- some day you need to make that (Hollister to Morro trip) using our tracks: about three hours of utterly isolated, twisty, twisty, twisty double and single track.

If I'd skipped the rest of the CB that stretch would have still justified the entire trip.

With my ma now in the North Bay I wonder if I'll ever make it back down there?
