Thanks hth, but they changed the caliper for the ABS model (2106), so it uses a different pad.

Question
Waht kind of rotor wear do you see with the HH pads? Reports vary between OEM-level to severe wear. Just put a set of EBC organics on my SH150, rather than HH's, due to that concern.

Wouldn't mind a bit more 'bite' than OEM, but not looking forward to changing rotors either.

The OEM pads are from Ferodo. The Piaggio front pads for the 2016 are about $25. If you get them from Ferodo, they're about $15, but you don't get to throw away the beautiful plastic bag that says Piaggio on it. Ferodo also makes a sintered pad, as does Malossi and just about everyone now.
The real wear problems with sintered pads happened because of crappy disk material. Now sintered pads are fairly common OEM equipment on a lot of vehicles and the rotors don't wear excessively. It's sort of like leaking oil seals and synthetic oil, where the problem wasn't the oil, it was the seals.

You do know sythetic oil will leak when Dino won't it lot's of cases. Synthetic oil flows better so it also leaks easier than Dino oil
Have this issue on my '99 Toyota Avalon; use synthetic oil and the valve cover leaks, switch back to dino oil leak gone.

I was hope for a reference specifically to the BV. When shopping for the SH, several sites said that HH pads should be avoided unless you have installed hardened rotors. I doubt the OEM rotors would be considered 'hardened', and I'm not sure of the availability of such rotors aftermarket. I can't say that I've ever faded the OEM pads, so they're fine, but a little more initial 'bite' might be nice.

Ask the company that makes the pads.
I'm pretty sure most modern scooters have "hardened" rotors. The ones that were about three times thicker in the 70s and 80s are the ones that sintered brake pads ate.

I Would, but...

I would, but I have a feeling that they'll tell me that their product will be OK, regardless of the truth. Was hoping for someone with actual experience. Experimenting, over the years, has lost its appeal for me.
