Well, it was scary. I live 14 floors up and my office is 19 floors up. Both family and office had to evacuate. It was a long one. Lasted 7-8 minutes, so all the way walking down the staircase, everything was shaking. I can share you this message, cos this is what i got from my wife and kids, and colleagues at work.

I am in Bangkok right now. Believe it or not, we were in a big conference room, having a pre listen to the new upcoming Eagles album ( I work in the music industry). While leaning back on me seat, looking up to the ceiling, I saw the chandeliers start moving about. I sat up, and said to myself....to much beer (as we had just broke up for pre dinner drinks and continued with listening to the album)!!!. Just 3 minutes after that, I get multiple text messages from back home, just as all loved ones reached the ground floor.

It is an excellent album and I know many of you will like it, but the images in my head are those moving lights, and feeling so helpless knowing all at home panicking. It was not cool being away from home.

In this forum, honestly, although I missed riding my Threebuzz (my MP3's name), I did not think about her at all or if she was safe in the basement. Happy tho I did not think of her first. It was family only in my mind, and I think I have my priorities right.

There have been 3 more quakes since the one last night. It was much bigger than the quake in Aceh 2 years ago. Lots of families were displaced and several casualties.
