So I love the look of the LX without the f-ugly added on dinky turn signals the North Amercian models receive. I know there's a kit you can buy that will allow you to convert the running lights back into their proper function as turn signals.

My dealer said with a wink - you don't need a kit to do that.

I can't see it as being a difficult conversion - except modifying it so that the running lights will act as turn signals and running lights at the same time.

I believe one of the conversion kits being sold is set up this way.

Anyone have any details on how to set it up this way without a kit? I'm thinking a few relays, some soldering, some shrink tubing and I should be good to go.

I've installed the kit that Motorsport Scooters sells on my friend's LX. To be honest, it's better to lose the running lights and just use them as turning signals. They draw way too much juice, which is why you have so many LX people complaining about the battery dying all the time.

When I did it, it took me over an hour. You have to completely dismantle the headset, remove the glove box and the horn cast just to get access to the wires. You're practically two or three steps away from removing the fork!
Aside from that, hooking up the kit is a no brainer.
