I've had this Vespa since 2004 with intentions of doing a restoration. As of late I've come to realize that's never going to happen and I need the space.

Any idea what it might be worth?
The first part of the VIN VLB1T 047128 which appears to be a 1967 150 Sprint.

I got it running back in 2004 and rode it around the neighborhood a bit. Everything appears to be original except the exhaust system which i bought to get it running.

Odometer shows 3300km

Thanks for your help

What's the history on it? There are a few signs it could be an older Asian restoration*. And only 3300km probably means not the original speedometer. How about a pic of the speedo and a few more views?

I can't seem to upload any more pics.

I have very little history on it. I was renting a place in SC that had a barn I was cleaning out. I found the Vespa in the back of it covered in leaves and vines. It looked like it had been there for years. I cleaned it up a little, realized the motor had compression and went to work getting it to run. Everything is exactly like I found it (except the exhaust). It looks like the motor has never been apart. No rounded off fastners or any of the usual stuff you see on beater bikes.
Even the tires held air.

Maybe it is an Asian bike but I'm not sure what to look for.

It has the "classic" Vietbodge cowl and fender guards, stainless floorboard rails, square Asian license plate frame, etc etc...
That alone would severely lower the value to any knowledgeable buyer.

But my Mom always says "It's only worth what you can get for it". So can you find someone willing to pay you a lot more than it is probably worth? Judging by the amount of over-priced bodges people seem to be willing to pay thousands for....the answer is yes. Polish the turd, make it shiny, and some sad suckers will throw money at you.

A few things raised the flag.
1) cowl and fender guards are directly bolted instead of mounted on.
2) too much chrome. (rear seat, floor rail, legshield trim, crest, gas tank cap, headlight trim...
3) if frame Vin # is VLB1T 04xxxx, it means this is a early Sprint which more likely to have a regtangle P logo on legshield and trapezoid headset. This one has a Veloce headset and space logo of 1968 model and newer.
4) infamous license frame with 4 screw holes.

This looks to be one of the early Nam bodge to me as those experts over there has not ransacked almost every single the original parts on the scoot.

Not try to put you down. Within last 4 months, I've seen a decent original condition running US market Sprint titled as 1969 sold for $2400. A good original cosmetic but may need to rebuild engine of an Italian import 1966 Sprint one price at for $2300 on FB. I doubt this one will be sold at this price. An original Vespa GL (earlier version of Sprint) sold for $2500 on NV Craigslist.

An early Bodge example???? Shouldn't that in itself be valuable?

Thanks!!

Matter of opinion I guess. An older dog turd is less obnoxiously smelly than a newer one, but they're both still piles of shit.

earlier or older version of bodge IMHO is
1) mostly 1 tone paint
2) still some original parts left on the scoot.
3) they reused the existing hole to mount new floor rail.
4) more authenticity restoration which means they dont overuse bondo or try to reused original frame related parts.

Beside that, they still restored engine with tin can or refurbished old parts, touch up welding or weld over rusted area... which means it is less junk but still junk.

by the way, what's happening to the glove box on the left side cowl? did they just piece together a rally, veloce and a early sprint frame?

All the rusty chrome suggests it has been adorned with Indian or Vietnamese reproduction parts. Original chrome parts are brass underneath so they don't rust to such as extent. Those floor board "runners" look highly suspicious. Find out where it came from (any country besides Italy. Italy doesn't count). It has Asia written all over it.

this thing is interesting. it's not got a glovebox side cowl and it's got the bigger euro euro headset.

i'm guessing SEA origins, or somebody slapped a bunch of tat all over it. certainly not OG in any way, shape or form.

for the right price i'd maybe roll some dice. might wind up with a TS or odd market rally?or at least some possible useable bits?

i worked on a rally and a GL that were out of thailand and bother were actually really well done, so there's always that possibility.

as for value? probably, maybe, possibly 250?

scooter maths:
tagged running rider- 2K
not running- 1K
no tags, and/or been sitting or state of disrepair- 500
dubious origins- 250
