I saw one of those a couple months ago, and was surprised at the high quality, and fit and finish. It is very much equal to the big names at a better price point. And this dealer also sold the H-K-S-Y brands.

Decidedly cool lil' ride! Benelli surely is back.

It's loads of fun to ride.

The red line is 9,500 rpms and to keep it going you want to be around the 7000 rpm mark so you commit to the corners around there as it's gutless low down.

You ride it a bit like a race bike so you go into the corners reving on the down change go late on the brakes then early as you can on the gas so the engine doesn't have chance to bog.

It's tyres aren't great so they'll get binned asap but it's ideal in traffic as the mirrors and bars are higher than the car's and lower than the van's mirrors.

I'm riding it with a smile.

I think so but you'd have to run it around 60 mph all day long.

We're counting.

It was due to arrive on Friday but I got a phone call from the dealer to say that the bikes tank had been damaged in transit and he wouldn't be delivering it in that condition.

I didn't doubt it actually happened as I've worked in the car industry for 15 years and things often go wrong so they have ordered a new tank and thrown in a performance pipe to sweeten the deal.

It was going to get one anyway so I can wait a few days.

It should be here next week.

I took it out yesterday and had a riot on it.

7000 rpms everywhere and your'e going to have a blast.

Yikes! I wonder if they ship them in a box with a metal frame. That looks like my Chinese (or whatever my Lance scooter was) looked like after it arrived in my driveway after being shipped from Cali.

It was enclosed in a heavy cardboard box, but the inner frame was thin metal, not wood. The scooter shifted in the frame during transport and rubbed on the frame during shipment. The body parts were plastic. The company, to my surprise, had good customer service and offered to pick that one up and send another or just send me all new body parts. I opted for the parts and changed them myself. Super easy.

I think it fell against another bike in the van or the other way around.

They have been honest and covered it really well so I'll remain unphased.

Accidents happen.

The byproduct of this is an exhaust that will wake the dead and really annoy my neighbour.

This brings me joy.

It's just so much fun to buzz around on.

My home town has become wedged full of traffic recently and so this thing is just perfect for carving through it.

I'm going to try and put some more miles on it as soon as I can.
