I had all 3 new tires put on professionally and I rode the bike 2 times before I noticed the right front tire not being flush against the rim. Both front tires where bound together during shipping with tape so I suspect the warping is from delivery. The tire has pressure but not sure if I should be worried. Your thoughts?

yes that tire needs to be taken off and checked for abnormalies. It is definitely not fully seated to the rim.

Ok, I'll take it off and take it to them to fix.

The fix may involve putting 80 psi into it, and waiting for the pop.
Hopefully it's just a seating issue; but regardless they should have seen it.

In my somewhat limited experience (perhaps 20-25 tires I have put on) tires can come shipped with all manner of tape, cord, strapping, etc. and go on just fine. I don't think this issue was due to shipping.

Rather, sometimes it takes more pressure to get that last bit of bead to pop on. I have gone over 50 psi a couple of times but I tend to get nervous around there.

Those look like pretty good (and by that I mean bad) dings on your rim from tire levers. Was this your first tire change?

What Sully said. They just need to push that tire back off the bead, soap it up, and give it more pressure. It will pop on.

I have a concern about whats on the rim in the lower left hand part of the pics, hence back to what I recommend on removing and inspecting.

Madison / OAD, I noticed that too.......you think those nicks are bad enough to back off the tire in that area?

Yes my first tire change and I don't even want to tell you how bad the old 3 were. Like baaaad.

No, those nicks aren't something that would cause the tire to hang up like it is.
They are just a sign of poor workmanship with tire levers.
Sort of like not having the tire seated properly.
In my book that would be two pretty solid strikes against going back.
But that's just me perhaps.

well that totally sucks the installer could not be bothered to use rim protectors when using tire irons.

I can now agree with Madison Sully and try and put some extra air and pop the bead on.

to do this best I recommend a decent volume size compressor. Remove the valve stem and then squirt some soapy water mix around the rim/tire edge. Then hit it with the air chuck and you should hear a good loud pop pretty quickly 10 seconds or so. Once its reseated rental the valve stem and fill to recommended tire pressure. Checks for leaks.

I would be raising holy hell if they scratch my rims.
They should not be using frickin tire irons at a dealership, unless they are doing dirt bike tires, they should have a tire machine.

Update

Took it back to shop...first words?..."Did you hit something?"

You can't make this stuff up people. Since I take responsibility for NOT inspecting my tires, at pick up, I just grunted and snorted a bit.

They put the compressor on it and it popped.

Won't be going back to these guys.

Oh and there are more of those lever marks on my back rim.

I would make them replace the Rim...
My 2009 MP3/250 has gone through many of a tire change, and my Rims don't look like that.
