My wife just texted me and I could feel the tears welling up that Luke Perry just passed away. I knew he was hospitalized last week for a stroke.
And the Singer of Prodigy just passed away.
Too much of my childhood and teenage years is being taken from me. I guess it's just that age (40's) when things like this start happening.
Yup, the older we get the more our childhood heroes/idols start passing. A few of them have gone at a young age but a rock and roll lifestyle and odds will also come in to play.
Prince, Keith Flint, Tom Petty and many more went before their time. Leonard Nimoy, David Bowie, Leonard Cohen are a few that were older but it still struck a chord. Also the older we get the more time we have had to build memories so it just go to figure we can relate to the passing of celebrities. Some I cared about like Bowie, Cohen and Nimoy and some were just memories. While I've had the song Fire Starter running through my head all day I can't say I've given Prodigy much thought in the last decade or so. Still it's a little sad to hear of his passing.
