Hi guys,

I know there is an older topic about this but it doesn't seem to help...

So... I was stupid enough to throw my keys into the trunk of my 2015 Vespa Primavera 150 - and close it - and to make it worse, I don't know where my second key is... I've already searched everywhere but to no avail.

How can I open my trunk without keys without destroying my scooter?

Any help is very much appreciated.

Who's your insurance provider? Are you AAA?

AAA is for the person not the vehicle. so if you call as a member and say you are locked your keys in your bike, they should be able to send someone to help get your key back.

Worth a call for sure.

Any competent locksmith should be able to open the seat lock. There really isn't an alternative. AAA will unlock it as part of your membership. However, the price for a locksmith to unlock it is likely around $50 should you need one.

On some models if you reach up under the left cowl just ahead of the airbox, you can feel the plunger that the solenoid pushes to open the seat.

Also, IDK what models use a seat release inside the glove box, but if your ignition hasn't been moved and is 'vertical', you can push on the ignition and/or the ring surround and maybe get lucky and the glove box pops open.

Mike, it's been allowed by the mods to post it in the open since at least 2011.

But this urban legend of not to post how to do it keeps living on...

I didn't know. I've just seen a long discussion about this on the German Vespaforum, with many members requesting PMs on how to do it.

I've been on this forum for yonks, but have never seen this tip.

By 'trunk' do you mean topbox or under the seat? If under the seat then this might help if the Primavera seat is similar to the LX:
Locked my keys in the 150 LX Seat

If you mean topbox then you can remove the hinge pins. You might have to file some material away from each side.

no need to destroy the scooter, just the topcase will do.

It'd be even more helpful if you posted your solution on this thread.

There isn't any prohibition on posting security info - thieves don't take care to open up your bike without damage, they just use brute force.

In Kansas you can call the taxi cab company and they are very agile with that tool. Price $30. They con't do houses though.
