Been looking for a long time to find one that wasn't too much. This came across faceborg marketplace. The guy labeled it 1956 vespa with some pics of it all in pieces. Got ahold of him but he couldn't meet that night and I had too wait one more day. He didn't know or cared what he had just wanted it to be saved. It was his aunts and now I'm the second owner with 3200 miles. I put it back together and am missing some screws here and there but should be on the road soon. Only doing a mechanical restoration on it and leaving the paint alone.
I'm looking for some airbox screws if anyone could help I would definitely appreciate it.
Thanks

Beautiful indeed. The front wheel, is it mounted insideout?

It's an SS. Due to the offset of the engine (more to the right), the rims are wider and they mount this way. Perfectly normal...

chaus: Nice "steal" and in such condition...

I traded an 1985 Honda atc70 and 400 for it. Think I did quite well. Wish I could do that more often.

A '68 SS180 is my dream Vespa, as it's my year, and I love the fat back end of the SS.

You definitely have a treasure, there! No doubt it is an appreciating classic due to its rarity. Even in Italy, a specimen like yours is very, very hard to find in that condition. It would be best to maintain it as original as possible; as the saying goes......it is only original once!!
