Are there any upcoming group rides in the Austin/Kerrville/San Antonio area? The bluebonnets should be popping soon with all the rain and warm weather.

I enjoy riding my GTS, but it's boring always being solo.

I'm in Abilene.

TIA.

Hill Country
I just came across your post. If there is not a rally in the Hill Country then lets do one. The MSTA have one in Oct each year and it was great. I can get there details if needed. How many scooters do you think attend?

Beats me how many people would be interested. I'm Abilene, so it'd be a ride just to get there, but I'm game for a Spring rally and there's a large scooter community in the Austin/Hill Country area.

Anybody else interested?

Thanks for responding.

The Hill Country Classic, which was a vintage only rally, will be open to all scooters this year. Will be in Austin sometime this Spring.

Some local planning talks have been happening for The Hill Country Classic. From the discussions I have been been involved in, sounds like some city to country riding. Early May. Info to follow on website: http://www.austinhillcountryclassic.com/

Correct, it will be open to all scooters. As it's shaping up now, there will be a vintage ride and an open ride that converge midday, then all ride and party together into the sunset. Thus far anyway. But, main takeaway, it will be open to all scooters as stated.

I'm currently "between" Vespas, riding a 2006 Majesty. I saw the request about no motorcycles, Groms, etc.

Is this a brand specific event? (I understand if it is. Vespas are pretty special).

If it's open to other brands, will there be opportunities to group ride that don't involve camping?

Thanks for the information!

No limitations on scooters or makes. Just encouraged not to bring anything that can't do at least 45MPH as it would be unsafe on some of the larger roads. Should be no prob with the Yamaha. The Saturday ride meetup point will be outside of the campground for those who just want to ride, or choose to stay elsewhere.

AND, there should be a few other rides popping out this year. A lot still depends on how COVID goes.

The new Vespa Club of Austin usually puts together something monthly.
These ae open to all makes, years, etc... despite "Vespa" in the title.

We were organizing a monthly ride as well for a while and coordinate with other groups as well. Some of it makes it to modernvespa.com but, FB is where you'll likely find the most stuff.
