Does anyone have any information on changing the coolant on a 2006 GT200? I found lots of videos on YouTube, but they are all for the GTS250/300, which has a bleed screw. The GT200 doesn't. Do you need to bleed air out of it when changing the coolant?

No, you don't need to perform any special bleeding.

Just fill up the coolant until the MAX mark, then start the bike and let it warm up completely. You may need to add a bit more coolant when it's cooled down again, but often not.

coolant leak
Ok, I replaced the coolant, and now I discovered I have a coolant leak dripping off the bottom of the engine, near the oil drain. I suspect the water pump is leaking. It is not coming from the top of the engine anywhere. The engine is dusty, and any liquid leak would be obvious. It is not leaking from the water pump cover seal, that is completely dry. I know the water pumps are supposed to be rebuilt on these scooters, but I don't have the tools for that. Would replacing the entire flywheel cover fix it?

This is a 2006 model, and I bought it in 2016 with only 1800 miles on it. So it has obviously been sitting for a long time, which could have caused the seal to dry out. It has only been ridden about 2500 miles since I bought it 3 years ago.

Yes, that should take care of it, but you also need one of these:

Ok great. I stayed up all night and took everything apart. Now I can see what I'm dealing with. Parts ordered. Thanks.
