After riding ~5k miles in 4 months (mostly touring), I started looking into upgrades for the BV350 all winter (thanks Motovista for our chats via PM), and realized that there's not a lot of headroom to tap in this platform (Motovista says it's because BV350s aren't raced, and I tend to believe him).
So, I started looking at power/weight ratios of all the mid- and maxi-scooters about a month ago, and two stood out to me -- the TMAX, and BMW's C-Series.
Tuesday, I fly down to Florida's Gulf Coast to pick up a 2014 BMW C600 Sport. Price was right, miles are low, and if I don't like it, I think I'm doing this silliness early enough in the riding season to sell it once I get back to NYC.
The plan is to head North for a couple-few days, stop to check in on my Mom in Charlottesville over the weekend, then head to NYC early next week and register the thing. Routes aren't decided yet, because where's the fun in that?
