I don't need a gun, having been trained to kill in four different ways with nothing but a salad crisper.

That said, I find a well directed punch tends to deter most people - and fists are portable and free...

If it came down to assaulting people with something under the bed, then I'd be hitting them with a newspaper, my glasses and possibly a copy of a Richard Nixon autobiography I'm reading:

I actually keep two swords and a shield under my bed but... that's a different story.

Hey! I just bought one of those outfits for my son while I was in SF's Chinatown!!! He loves it. 6'2" of son jumping around on the furniture... (I didn't let him use my swords, though.
