Hello everyone,

first post here
I'm a Vespa fan, as far as scooters go, this 2014 Gts 300 SuperSport is my 2nd, after my first 125 Gts SuperSport
So far it has the Akrapovic exhaust and a variator, i don't remember it's make.
I ride alot, about 50k/day, 8.000 km/year, mostly 2 up (my wife and I live in the south of France near the italian border and we got to the nearest italian city for coffee each day)

Recently some guy rear ended me at a traffic light and the insurance approved reparations worth 1730 euro (about $1900, i think)

The complete repaint will cost only about 300-350 (i plan to make it metallic brown) and while at it, i'd like to do some upgrades

I'd like to swap the wheels with the ones from Mp3 500. I was hoping for overall bigger wheels for a better lean angle, but i've seen that the tires decrease in height when moving to 13". Will do it anyway

I'd like to change the suspension, especially because i push it hard and also because we're mostly 2 on it. The bitubo kit front and rear is about 550 euro. It costs a pretty penny and the fact that my OEM suspension still works makes me think before i swap it.

Now about the brakes. Has anyone upgraded the front brakes?
Would it be worth it to go for a slightly bigger brake disk, now that the 13" wheel would allow it? For the brake caliper, any options other than the brembo one? that's 300 euro and hell, i paid that for a set of Brembo M50 with new brake pads, master cylinder and steel braided tubes for my Ducati Monster 821, so... no.

Thoughts? Other suggestions?

Bitubo shocks are great, have them front and rear.

Here is a thread on what I did to my 2017 GTV, takes the same mods as your scoot. It might help a bit. I'm not a fan of putting bigger wheels on a Vespa but that's up to you. They are plenty flickable and leanable as is and I am a pretty aggressive rider.

Using the Search & or Wiki feature(s) would help answer your question but if you want to add to the discussion, here are my questions/answers:

If Safety is important to you then...
- Brake light modulator/LED
- LED lightbulb change or I JUST saw on friday Vespa Motorsports has a whole LED Headlamp housing Switch out that I'm REALLY interested in!
- Better horn
- Change turn signals/covers to be more visible.

If it's performance/speed:
- change your rollers/variator
- Belts
- Exhaust

For more suggestions, wait for replies or look at the link I posted above on the topic that's been debated and discussed for 10+ years
