Thanks

One or more brake light switch stuck on. Try a little squirt of electrical cleaner spray in the switch behind the brake lever. WD40?
Then work lever several times. ....get that little switch free'd up. O.S. |

Thank you for the response
I did try that. I was told it's probably the brake light switch? Papagigo |

The switches are behind the brake levers. There are two switches -- if either one is pressed the brake lights will be on. If contact cleaner and working the levers didn't work you'll have to remove the plastic from the headset to get to the switches.

Thank you
I think thats my next step to remove the plastic. Do you know if there are any You tube videos showing how to access the levers? Papagigo |

Hi,
Brake lights are still on. I removed both brake levers cleaned with a silicone lubricant and blew some air in the plunger area. Is there a brake light switch? If so can you help me find it!? Thank you Papagigo |

If so can you help me find it!? Thank you Papagigo The switches themselves are Normally Closed pushbutton switches. When the brake lever is released it pushes the switch button, opening the contacts. When the lever is squeezed it backs away from the switch pushbutton, allowing the contacts to close. If the lever doesn't push the switch button far enough, the switch can remain closed and the brake lights remain On. If you can unplug the electrical connector you may be able to find a switch that's stuck, by using a meter. A squirt of electrical contact cleaner into the switch may free it up; if not, replace the switch. Edit: Brake switches are NC switches, not NO. Edited to reverse the operation. Get a multi-meter. Remove the brake bulb and remove a running light bulb. With the power off, touch the positive contact of both sockets to check for a short.

see if hitting the start button without holding the brake will get the starter to crank.

Pull
Pull the electrical connectors on the switches and observe when the light goes out. When the light goes out, that is the bad switch. If the light stays on with all switches disconnected, you have a short in the wiring.
