Fatally it has a large wine list, table service, a restaurant, a club downstairs for bad dancing and a garden outside for a crafty fag.

But if you fancy a night on the beer then I'm happy to go to the pub...
Looks like a fun venue. Would be great to go to a "Poetry Slam" if they have one on. If you have never been, then they are great fun (suspend disbelief as they do sound a bit crap). Soho is really a bit more cool as a location in general though.

BTW, Caligurl, a "crafty fag" is not an odd sexual act with a gay person, it is English for "partake in smoking of a cigarette".

Charles.
fag = cigarette
crisp = chip
chip = fry
muppet = stupid person/dumbass

By Joe! I think she's got it!

So no more eating chips with California muppets and crafty fags, smelling like crisps.

Say that one ten times fast.

no more southbay scooter trash either. Razz emoticon

Like I said . . .

I missed my ET4 the instant I got to Kensington. Not the same experience/freedom if you can't join in the fun.

"Cali"donian Road
Hi Caligurl,

I live in central London and would be honoured giving you THE TOUR of the city, and surroundings (West London).

Weather will be good for another month or so, not that the weather bothers me...

Depending how much luggage you have, do you need a ride from the airport? - just read on, I see you have arrived, well, welcome

It'll be nice to meet you,

Ciao

What are you upto on Sunday - weather is supposed to be good for a ride

thanks!

Weathers been pretty good so far. Only got rained on once (thurs after I arrived).

It'll be nice to meet [all of] you. I see lots of modern scoots around. Realized how to determine street names (signs on buildings, not on posts/poles like states)

Hmm, moving into a flat today then might go watch the ManU football match in a pub, whilst eating bangers and mash. Anyone interested?

football, bangers, and mash! woo hoo! glad to see that you're getting into the spirit of things. if you're not an habitual tea drinker, put that down on your list of 'english skills' to acquire.

i'm going on a wee ride with dougl65 this afternoon but we're going to be in wanstead, doing boring maneuvers in prep for my test tomorrow. [*fingers crossed that i don't arse it up like i did last time* emoticon]

if you're in brick lane, make sure you visit the 'beigel' shop right at the top of brick lane (where it meets bethnal green road). also be prepared to experience the very latest in trendily-clad londoners. time to dig out your black tights and tunic!

don't wanna kill myself riding around? too short for most scoots, rather be a passenger. maybe (slight maybe) once i'm more familiar with the streets.

Had a coworker get hit by a car on Friday (he was on a bicycle). Came in a mess.

We had a superb ride today, Caligurl and I

Wizzed around Piccadily circuis, zoomed past St Pauls Cathedral, then on through Aldgate and a Victory lap around Brick lane before stopping for a litle lookaround. Then back on the Vespa and through Aldgate, over Tower Bridge, along the Thames past Waterloo, London Eye, MI5, Battersea Park, Putney and on to Barnes for a spot og lunch. Tummies full and ready to go, we headed back to Soho via Hammersmith Bridge, Kensington Olympia, High Street Kensington, Royal Albert Hall, through Hyse Park, screamed around Marble Arch, dodged shoppers on Oxford St and then techno'ed our way up Tottenham Court Road and ended up in starbucks for a little debrief.

Calgurl is a really cool Vespista, refreshing considering the distinct lack or gurls in the UK vespa scene.

Thanks Caligurl, it was a pleasure having you aboard!
